It was a very interesting and informative day listening to John Richmond and in the afternoon Frank Heinrich and John Richmond led a conversation about human trafficking trends in Europe. Everyone had the chance to speak and make suggestions on how we move forward in the fight against the injustice of human trafficking.
Anti-trafficking awareness day, 18th october 2021
Jane lasonder and Frank Heinrich from the task force were part of a discussion group at Chateau de Rixensart near Brussels. John Cotton Richmond, former ambassador-at-large office to monitor and combat trafficking in persons for the US dept of State, led the discussion and Members of Parliament, survivors, NGOs and business leaders in Brussels attended.

Everyone had the chance to speak and make suggestions on how we move forward in the fight against the injustice of human trafficking.
It was a very inspiring day and we also had a lovely lunch together with Prince Charles-Louis de Merode and his family who own the Chateau.
Over lunch we had time to talk more on the subject of human trafficking, brainstorm new ideas in the fight against this terrible crime.
It was amazing meeting like minded people with a passion to be a voice for those without a voice and share valuable experiences and ideas.
